James Cropper is set to go back to black for Luxe Pack Monaco, as it prepares to showcase its extensive range of black papers – a colour that in the world of packaging brings sophistication, class and a timeless appeal.

British master papermaker James Cropper is set to go back to black for Luxe Pack Monaco, as it prepares to showcase its extensive range of black papers – a colour that in the world of packaging brings sophistication, class and a timeless appeal.

Attendees at the event, which takes place between 2 and 4 October 2017 at Monaco’s Grimaldi Forum, will also get the chance to experience the company’s Tailor Made service, which allows brands to develop unique, custom-made paper solutions for brand presentation and packaging.

James Cropper works closely with clients to develop bespoke black shades, and prides itself on colour quality and consistency. Its in-house colour lab also holds recipes for over 50 shades of black, with four ready-to-order FSC®-certified blacks available from stock.

Susan Wilson, group packaging director at James Cropper, said: “We want brands to realise the creative potential of black – it’s dark and challenging, but can often be the most powerful of colours. Liquorice and Black Lentil from the Dolcelicious range of luxurious food contact-approved papers are amongst those on show at the event. Also on display will be Black Bowston, a soft black made from 100 per cent reworked fibre; and the red-hued Black from Vanguard, James Cropper’s leading colour range, which has a smooth finish ideal for promotional print.

The prestige paper innovator will also showcase examples of packaging projects; which include the collection of gift and presentation packaging for luxury online handbag retailer Zesh, made from a dark chocolate black developed for the papermaker’s award-winning Cocoa range.

James Cropper will also be presenting ColourformTM moulded fibre packaging, from the company’s 3D Products division (JC3DP), at the Monaco event.
