Business Development Manager

TFP Hydrogen a leading international Advanced Materials manufacturing company located Launceston, Cornwall, currently has a unique career opportunity to join our business development team.

At TFP, we develop and manufacture high-performance nonwoven materials and coatings for hydrogen fuel cells and electrolysers - offering not just a diverse product range but the capability to tailor materials to meet specific performance requirements. Our products serve applications in a wide variety of fields including surface engineering of composites, fire protection, thermal insulation, power storage, and various electrochemical applications. Our customers make parts using our materials for parts on planes, hockey sticks, electric vehicles, fighter planes, hydrogen fuel cells, and electrolyzers.

At TFPH, a crucial part of our ethos is working in partnership with our customers to develop solutions for their technically demanding challenges. Our expertise is drawn from an extensive knowledge of working with a wide range of polymers, particulates, and specialty fibres. This experience ensures that we continue our 35-year tradition of delivering customised material solutions for our customers.

The Opportunity

The ideal candidate should have a background in green hydrogen, with knowledge of the electrolyser market. The primary objective of this role is to obtain new business by increasing sales and to get material specified into new products and markets.

New Customer Acquisition
Marketing and Communication
CRM Maintenance and Reporting

This is a remote position ideally located in the south of the UK working from home and TFP Hydrogen, Launceston office where you will be expected to visit on a regular basis.

Ability to travel across Europe / Asia / Pacific (40%)


What will make you successful?

B.S. or B.A Degree, ideally, in physical science such as Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or Engineering. Equivalent training/professional experience will be considered.

5+ years of business experience, preferably in a green hydrogen/engineering/materials environment

Microsoft Office – Word, Excel (Pivot Tables/Analysis),

PowerPoint, CRM Database use and maintenance

A driven professional with exceptional verbal and written communication skills and the confidence to use them
