Has my application been received?
We don’t respond to individual applications to confirm we have received them. If you aren’t sure, please give us a call or send an email to recruitment@cropper.com
When will I find out if my application is being taken forward?
We aim to respond to applications within 2 weeks of the closing date, however for some roles it may be longer depending on the volume of applications. We inform unsuccessful candidates by email, and we will call/email applicants to invite them to interview.
How many people work at James Cropper?
There are almost 600 employees at James Cropper.
Who do I see when I come for my Interview?
Your interview invite will give you full details of who and where to go to when attending your interview.
How long will my interview take?
Depending on the format of your interview, they can take anything from 45 minutes up to half a day. Again your invite will detail how long you need to set aside.
What should I wear?
Dress smart but comfortable, if you are due to go on a tour then full business dress would not be appropriate.
Where do I park?
We have carparks around the perimeter of the site. One is situated opposite the church and as well as one to the right and left of main reception.
I’ve been to an interview or assessment day, when will I find out if I have been successful?
We aim to get back to candidates as quickly as possible, we endeavour to inform you if we expect it will take longer than expected.
What can I expect on my first day?
On your first day you will receive a full induction to the company, it will include an introduction and tour around the mill. You will also receive some health and safety and manual handling training.
You will get to meet your team and your manager who will tell you what you need to do on day two.
I haven’t been successful, how can I improve for next time?
