The Opportunity
The successful candidate will ensure the effective management and maintenance of site infrastructure and critical systems. You will be responsible for overseeing contractors, coordinating site services, and maintaining compliance with safety regulations and legislative requirements serving as the main point of contact for site service-related enquiries.
This position contributes to the smooth and efficient operation of the manufacturing facility, ensuring optimal plant performance and a safe working environment, whilst continually improving and contributing specialist technical knowledge to other areas on site.
You will be responsible for;
Supervise contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, project timelines, and specifications.
Serve as the main point of contact for site service-related inquiries, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders and resolving issues promptly.
Oversee maintenance and control of critical systems, including CCTV, security barriers, fire alarm and sprinkler systems, and air compressor and dryer systems.
Inspect and maintain site infrastructure, including buildings, roads, outside spaces, civil works, reservoirs, high-pressure water mains, backwater mains, and HVAC systems in compliance with regulations.
Maintain compliance with maintenance, operational health and safety, and environmental legislation for site services.
Develop and maintain operational procedures for site services.
Manage safety in the areas of responsibility, including participating in safety meetings and driving HSE metrics.
Oversee Group facilities i.e. Canteen, General Office and Cleaners
What will make you successful?
You will have strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to identify and resolve problems with the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively.
Qualifications in facilities management, estate management or project management are highly desirable
Proven experience as an Infrastructure Manager, Facilities Manager or similar role with people management accountability
Familiarity with maintenance and operational health and safety practices.
Understanding of plant maintenance and optimisation principles.
Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements in a manufacturing setting.
Flexibility to work across multiple disciplines and collaborate with diverse teams.
