business development team.
At TFP, we develop and manufacture high-performance nonwoven materials and coatings for hydrogen fuel cells and electrolyzers - offering not just a diverse product range but the capability to tailor materials to meet specific performance requirements. Our products serve applications in a wide variety of fields including surface engineering of composites, fire protection,
thermal insulation, power storage, and various electrochemical
applications. Our customers make parts using our materials for parts on
planes, hockey sticks, electric vehicles, fighter planes, hydrogen fuel
cells and electrolyzers.

customer service processes and initiatives. The ideal candidate will be able to learn about our capabilities and confidently communicate a narrative in which the customer can understand and relate to. Should this be a good fit, there would be a natural transition into a business development role managing both key accounts and growth accounts.
Lead follow-up and initial qualification - Confirm interest and potential.
Register in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) software.
Assist Business Development with setting appointments when appropriate.
Sample packet preparation, tracking, and follow-up –This position would
prepare and provide samples of TFP’s Advanced Materials to existing and
potential new customers as requested; ensure the request meets trade
compliance regulations, timely follow-up is completed, and coordinate
calendars to track and obtain evaluation results.
Support US sales team members with CRM
Manage House Accounts
Provide a focal point for customers, touching base routinely, building customer loyalty and enquiring about the possibility of new opportunities.
Ensuring inquiries, requested information and samples are processed
Responsible for budgeting and forecasting House Accounts.
Lead generation – Research and prospecting to help identify new business
opportunities where TFP’s advanced materials and capabilities may be
Gain an understanding of the needs of potential customers and
provide relevant solutions.
Marketing and Communication
Support tradeshows and conferences
Own the team’s budget and ensure shows are scheduled for the current and following fiscal years
Logistics – shipping of the booth, marketing material and scheduling of required services
Travel to tradeshows and ensure the team is organized and on schedule
Start conversations with people walking by
Understand the US customer base and support the marketing team where needed
Customer/Prospect Outreach - Coordinate lead follow-up from webinars, tradeshows, and conferences utilizing CRM.
CRM Maintenance and Reporting
Ensure that the data in CRM is correct and processes are followed.
Creates and manages team reports in CRM. Extract required information when
Assist in the compilation of monthly reports.
Tracking non-disclosure agreements with our customer
The successful candidate will have;
US Citizenship or Greencard holder
B.S. or B.A Degree with some science and mathematics coursework. Ideally, in
physical science such as Chemistry, Material Science, Physics, or
Engineering. Equivalent training/professional experience will be
1-3 years of business experience, preferably in an industrial/engineering/materials environment.
Ability to prioritise, interpret, think creatively and plan ahead for contingencies

This is an office based position, working Monday through Friday, typically
from 8:00 to 16:00 based in Schenectady. There is some opportunity for
flexibility within this work schedule to meet individual needs.
Travel by plane will be required up to 5 times per year.
