Development Opportunity Transitioning to Systems and Data Analyst
We have an excellent development opportunity available for a management accountant in the paper division. You will be required to prepare comprehensive, high quality schedules and working papers to support the production of the management accounts. To carry out sales, costing and margin analysis, to compare actual vs budget, and to provide reasoned explanations to support variances. In addition to produce cost and contribution information, and to assist with the development of operational and financial systems as they are implemented for the division and across the group.
Systems and Data Analyst
As the Paper Division evolves and grows, the Finance activities required are going to be quite different from those being managed today and the role is expected to develop new ways of delivering value to the Paper Division. This role today comes with a development programme to transition to a Systems and Data Analyst, aligning the skills of Finance with the requirements of the Group. The programme is expected to take 2 years.
To develop into this role you will need to show the drive and ability to work with and contribute to significant systems development and towards a much enhanced reporting environment utilising the functions of an integrated Business Intelligence System to provide insights that optimise strategic decision making.
You will have previous experience of working in a manufacturing environment, be a confident IT user with advanced excel skills and able to pick up new IT systems quickly. Additionally, you will require strong communication skills and the ability to project manage continuous improvements and develop good relationships across the business.
You will have had at least 2 years past experience in manufacturing.
The role is full time 40 hours a week Monday to Friday, however we would require you to be flexible to meet the needs of the business. The salary is to be confirmed.
The Systems and Data Analyst role will be graded and the salary adjusted accordingly in line with the additional responsibility and satisfactory performance.
