Originally established as PV3 Technologies in 2011, TFP Hydrogen became a part of the Technical Fibre Products Group in 2021. TFP Hydrogen initially began operations in the United Kingdom and we are now in the process of expanding our activities in the United States. We have ambitious plans to construct additional facilities worldwide, with a focus on being closer to our customers. JOB PURPOSE:
You will lead and oversee safe manufacturing operations for TFP Hydrogen ensuring OTIF performance and a strong focus on safety, quality and continuous improvement in a rapid growth environment.
In addition to driving efficiency and effectiveness in manufacturing processes, meeting production targets, and optimising resource utilisation. You will ensure our customers’ needs are met by collaborating with our sales teams and liaising directly with customers therefore commercial awareness is also important.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Take overall accountability for the OTIF performance ensuring optimum quality standards are maintained.
Provide leadership and direction to the site team, fostering a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Lead the site based customer services team to support a service based business to business model in collaboration with the wider TFP customer services team.
Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, supply chain, and engineering, to develop integrated production plans and to forecast production requirements and ensure adequate capacity planning.
Optimise the utilisation of resources, including machinery, equipment, raw materials, and labour, to achieve production targets.
Continuously evaluate operational processes for efficiency and quality improvement opportunities and implement necessary changes.
Establish and implement KPI and quality control measures to ensure compliance with industry standards and customer specifications.
Take ownership of site maintenance and facilities supporting the next phase of production equipment and manufacturing excellence.
Foster a culture of collaborative working with our other sites including manufacturing operations in the US and the wider James Cropper Group to share best practice and drive collective success.
Ensure safe site operations working closely with the TFP SHE Team to drive improvements and ensure best practice.
What will make you successful?
Previous experience in a leadership role within an industrial manufacturing or technology led sector.
Strong organizational and project management skills to prioritise tasks and plan scheduling effectively.
Experienced in leading and inspiring teams in a rapidly changing technical manufacturing environment
Forward thinking approach with proven knowledge and experience in the application of continuous improvement systems, standards and tools such as LEAN and experience in executing and monitoring these through production teams
Excellent influencing, relationship building and communication skills
Flexible mind-set and quickly adaptable to changing needs of projects
Commercial awareness and an ability to work closely with customers and sales teams to ensure we deliver on our agreed commitments
