We currently have a vacancy for a Shift Team Leader in the James Cropper Paper business, specifically within the Paper Operations team. This exciting role is based in the stunning Lake District and is a role that is crucial to the success of our growing and developing business, with a focus on the day-to-day leadership, performance management and coaching of our paper operations crews. The responsibilities for this role include, but are not exclusive to:
Acting as a role model to others whilst striving to deliver high standards of performance across all Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost and People aspects.
Facilitating problem solving and collaboration, striving for team consensus and win-win agreements – building a continuous improvement mind-set within your teams.
Providing clear purpose, direction and consistency within your team. Making real time decisions and driving accountability to the right level within your teams.
Maintaining group dynamics, coaching and helping develop team members; helping to resolve any conflicts within the team and managing performance related issues
Creating a supportive, inclusive environment within your shift and in your Shift Team Leader first team. Aligning with your fellow STLs to help build an environment oriented to trust, open communication, innovative thinking and cohesive team effort.
Owning the execution of our production schedules. Understanding the schedule priorities and process flows to be able to execute and navigate any risks or opportunities to delivery on time and in full to our customers.
The ideal candidate should be able to work at HNC/D level or equivalent with previous experience of leading through a culture change within a manufacturing environment.
This exciting opportunity is a 3 shift role Mon – Sat with a salary of circa £42000
