Due to our continued expansion, we have an excellent opportunity for a Production Operator to join the team immediately. After a short period of training, including H&S training, the member of staff is required to work in a high-tech production environment to manufacture our products, as directed, in accordance with the company procedures in ways that will achieve the objectives of quality and efficiency.
You will be required to wear appropriate PPE (supplied) and take the utmost care as they will be dealing with dangerous and expensive chemicals (for example acids). You will assist in all aspects of the process from material inspection, surface preparation, production, through to quality assurance testing and packing of the finished product. Somebody with experience of maintaining production equipment would be encouraged to apply but this is not essential.
MAIN JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Adhere to the Company's Health, Safety policies & Environment and procedures, operating in a safe and professional manner at all times.
Ensure that all products comply with the relevant Quality Plan.
Ensure the correct materials are used and that the correct procedures are followed.
Measure and record as directed.
Ensure goods are labelled and packed to specification.
To ensure the maintenance of good housekeeping within the department and the site as a whole.
Any other reasonable duties assigned by the line leader to maintain production and supply continuity.
To use judgement and initiative to identify issues as they arise and improvement opportunities for review
QUALITIES REQUIRED FOR THE JOB
Full training in the process will be given however preference will be given to those from a manufacturing background.
