Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Latest

Updated 15/04/21
All three James Cropper business divisions are open with manufacturing operations continuing in line with the latest UK government guidelines. The health and wellbeing of our employees is our highest priority, with a series of measures in place to specifically protect against the risk of transmission of the virus.
Anyone who can work from home is doing so where practical, and those workers on-site are following the strict Covid-19 protection rules in place following the government guidelines on hands, face & space.
Those members of our team based at Burneside who are unable to work from home, are able and encouraged to voluntarily take a Lateral Flow Test (LFT) at a testing site in Kendal, which the company helped to set up. Over a dozen employees from James Cropper have volunteered to administer tests and process results at the LFT site, which plays a vital role in keeping our communities safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19. Furthermore, all employees are now able to access the free Lateral Flow Testing at home.
In addition to an ongoing site disinfection process, a number of extra checks are also available on-site including wall-mounted thermometers to check employees do not have a fever and pulse oximeters to check blood oxygen levels, as low levels may indicate the virus is present.
No visitors are currently permitted on site, other than approved contractors or suppliers essential to maintain operations.
We are actively supporting all staff including providing regular news and updates via our employee social media network. The company fully supports all employees to take the vaccination, with many of our employees having now received it.
We regularly carry out and update our Covid-19 risk assessment which is published here under Risk Management on this website.
We send our very best wishes to all of our customers and suppliers and thank you for your continued support.
