Craft in the Capital: James Cropper sponsors London Craft Week 2015
Paper and contemporary crafts have long since gone hand in hand, with designer makers and artists coming back to traditional materials time and again. To celebrate this union, James Cropper is supporting London Craft Week, taking place from Wednesday 6th to Sunday 10th May 2015.
As a partner and sponsor, James Cropper joins the Mayor of London, Crafts Council, Walpole and Heritage Crafts Association in backing the multi-destination event that draws in creatives from fashion, jewellery, textiles, paper craft and numerous other disciplines to showcase their work. Locations including Mayfair, St James, Bloomsbury, Clerkenwell and the City will see exhibitions taking place, with luxury brands Mulberry and Fortnum and Mason also hosting craft events.
The official launch of Craft Week, on Thursday 5th February at the Art Worker's Guild, was attended by The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall. As paper sponsor for the event James Cropper is supplying a range of papers from our portfolio from which the designers of the official event literature will create invitations, programmes and stationery.
Chris Brown, Commercial Director at James Cropper, says: “Our association with fine paper crafts goes back to our very earliest days of working with the publishers of fine books, but contemporary craft is now so much more than printing, cutting and binding. As partners and sponsors of London Craft Week, we’re proud to help in celebrating the diverse and exciting art forms that will be showcased during the event.”
Visit the London Craft Week website for further information about the event and the programme of exhibitions, talks and demonstrations.
