Pressing into China: Far East media meets James Cropper

Organised by UK Trade & Investment (UKTI), the GREAT Festival of Creativity and Trade saw business delegates from Great Britain visit China in early March, including representatives from James Cropper as the business continues its commitment to developing business links in the region.
As part of the visit Phil Wild, CEO of James Cropper plc, and Mark Cropper, Chairman of the company and Christine Lu, General Manager Asia, had the opportunity to present the business to the prestigious Royal Warrant Holders Association (RWHA).
Whilst in Shanghai, the team also took the opportunity to make friends in the Chinese media, not only specialist paper-related journalists, but also fashion, art and design correspondents. They were joined by China-based colleagues Maurice Tsang, Regional Manager Asia and Wenhui Liu, Business Development Manager in bringing the essence of a quintessentially British business to Shanghai.
A dedicated media event centred on a relaxed afternoon tea, where guests included editors from titles including luxury men’s magazine GafencuMen, high-end lifestyle title Peerage and the leading title in packaging design in China, Package & Design.
Phil Wild, CEO, said: “Our customers in China are valued and our association with the UKTI and RWHA equally so. This visit to Shanghai gave us a wonderful chance to speak about our company history, the current capabilities of our business and our plans for the future with so many influential businesses and journalists. It was a great pleasure for us all.”
