The Paper Paper-Mill Celebrating the Season in 3D

James Cropper, manufacturers of the world’s most distinctive paper products, celebrates this year’s holiday season with a hand-made 3D card designed to celebrate the launch of its moulded packaging business, James Cropper 3D Products.
The limited edition card shows its Burneside paper-mill – home to the business since 1845 – silhouetted against the moonlit and snow-capped hills of its English Lake District home. It is a celebration of the art of paper and print, and how a few sheets of paper can be transformed into a captivating scene.
The card uses five blue toned shades from G . F Smith’s Colorplan paper collection, made exclusively at Burneside by James Cropper. The cut-out mill is highlighted in gold micro-foil while the snow-capped hills are screen-printed in white. The remaining detail, including footprints, trees and fast flowing river, are laser cut.
The card was designed by sixth generation chairman Mark Cropper in collaboration with agency Plain Creative. The intricate production, including hand assembly, was undertaken by Imprimerie du Marais, Paris. The card is presented with an embossed message card and lined envelope commissioned from Baddeley Brothers of London.
