Printer-Ready Box Canvas for the Retail Photography Market

Arriving flat-packed and ready for quick print and assembly, James Cropper Paper launches Khora Inkjet digital photography board in new box format, for professional photographers, photographic labs and high-street retailers.
Inkjet Board for Digital Photography Printing
From the camera to printer to wall in ten minutes, James Cropper Paper launches a new photography box display product that combines sharp image reproduction with the promise of fast, no-adhesive assembly, at this year’s Photokina imaging fair. Taking place between Tue 16 – Sun 21 September 2014 in Cologne, the British pulp and technical fibre innovators have chosen the international event to present Khora Inkjet - Instant Wall Art (Patent Pending) adding to an existing range of versatile inkjet media boards.
The development of Khora Inkjet seeks to bring high-definition, conservation-standard print to both domestic and commercial settings, with a cost-effective and convenient alternative to other custom-made, box canvas products.
The pre-scored, flat-packed and printer-ready product is described as truly ‘instant wall art’ as the board can simply be printed, folded to a pre-scored shape and hung using provided eyelets. A board ‘lock in system’ replaces the traditional canvas stretcher, folded and applied to the centre of the construction to offer guaranteed strength.
Geoff Leech, Digital Media Sales Director, said: “Custom, box canvas presentations remain popular methods of presentation whether for professional photographers, businesses or for home decoration. Khora Inkjet means that high-quality; versatile box displays can be available immediately off the printer at all scales of production, whether a one off family memento or for mass-distribution, with flat storage reducing the warehousing and delivery costs for retailers, design studios and other commercial outlets.
The anti-scuff, anti-crack, anti-warp and water-resistant construction means that Khora Inkjet retains both image clarity and shape for longer, while product developers have also ensured it remains acid free and suitable for both water based dye and pigment inkjet systems. Customer choice remains at the top of James Cropper Papers’ priorities and the box will come in a range of initial sizes, suitable for both landscape and portrait printing, with a faux canvas emboss to provide traditional texture alongside modern standards of reproduction.
Chris Brown, Commercial Director said: “Our converting business has long provided photographers, exhibition designers and galleries with inkjet board products that ensure the long-term integrity of their images whilst providing the most-convenient, cost-effective means of presentation. Khora Inkjet goes one step further in allowing digital images to be just as easily printed onto a self-assembly object for fast, exhibition-standard display, changing the way that photography box presentations can be bought by both business and private customers.”
James Cropper Papers will present Khora Inkjet at Photokina 2014, Cologne on Stand D16 Hall 3.1. The company, which also incorporates non-cellulose fibre experts Technical Fibre Products, will demonstrate other products from their range of industry-leading inkjet media board, including Premium Glossy, Semi-Gloss and Two-Sided Matt Board.
